General Purpose Kayak Paddles
Paddles in this category are aimed at introductory and general recreational useas well as introdtcutory moving water.. They are also ideal for group or centre use.
They will consist mainly of plastic blades on a an aluminium shaft which has some from of plastic coating for insulation and grip. General purpose paddles are at the lower end of the price range.

Sea and Touring Paddles
For touring paddles a longer overall length is preferred than for general purpose or whie water paddles. Touring paddles usually have an assymmetric blade shape which provides a smoother paddle stroke
The cheaper paddles will have plasitc blades on aluminium shaft moving up in price when paddles are on glass fibre and glass fibre and carbon mix shafts. Other options are available.

White Water Kayak Paddles
White water kayak paddles tend to be shorter in length than general purpose and touring paddles. This enables easier placing of strookes especially when playing.
They are available in a wide variety of constructions and prices from aluminium shafts with plastic baldes through to glass baldes, glass and barbon shafts and all carbon paddles.

Jointed Take Apart Kayak Paddles
Jointed or split kayak paddles are essential safety equipment that should be carried in many kayaking situations such as sea paddling or river trips.
We can offer a wide range of jointed kayak paddles to suit any use and budget. Paddles can now be broken down into 2, 3 or 4 pieces to allow easy storage and transportation.
Please note that some jointed paddles are meant for emergency use only and are not as strong in some situations as one piece paddles. We do sell some systems that are suitable and strong enough for most uses.
